The respective position of the warp beam, the shed body or links and the roll of cloth.
In hand looms, the position of the cloth roll is usually fixed by the weaver, the cut being to be at a suitable height for ease of work.
The warp beam is placed in most cases higher than the roll of cloth, and this is of a rather variable quantity which causes it to be placed in some cases 4 to 8 cm higher than the roll of cloth. The shed body or links in which the warp yarns are placed must be placed at a height calculated according to the movement given to the members operating the yarns and according to the height of the warp roller and the roller, fabric.
In the looms organized with a face roller, the fabric passes over a small roller placed higher than the roll of actual fabric. It is the roller that guides the apparatus of the body, the height of the body of remiss or of links considered in the position at rest, ie the closed pitch must be as follows:

Lifting movement - When the loom is organized at the lift, the shed or link body must be fitted below the upper tangent plane of the two chain and fabric rolls and at a height such that the plane passes through the middle of the angle formed by the wires when the pitch is opened. In some cases, however, this rule is subject to exceptions, and the links and links may be a little more or a little lower.

Flap movement - When the wires are moved in a flap, ie downwards, the shed body is usually fitted above the upper tangent plane of the rollers and about 2 cm higher.

Lifting and lowering movement - When the loom is working up and down, the upper tangent plane of the rollers must pass exactly through the middle of the rings.
